Div 5 Recap – Carine Cats vs Ellenbrook Easterns

We came away with a solid 6–4 win over Ellenbrook at Coolamon Oval on Sunday. After a slow start, the team found its rhythm in the sixth inning, putting together a five-run surge off six hits. Adam came through with a key single to drive in two and give us the lead at the right time.

Dek did a great job on the mound, throwing six innings and keeping us in the game despite a few early hits. He also went 2-for-3 at the plate, leading the team in hits. Adam and Arndel both drove in two runs, and we turned a crucial double play to help shut the door. In the field, we had clutch catches from Beej, Adam, Ewie and Ben – all of which kept pressure off our pitcher and stopped Ellenbrook from building momentum. Really proud of the way the group stuck together and fought back for the win.

Div7 Black vs Rocky was washed out 0-0

Div 7 Blue vs Woodland Wolves was washed out 0-0

Div 8 vs Fremantle Rebels was washed out 0-0

Div 9 wasn’t put off by a bit of weather and travelled to Vikings for the 1st v 7th clash.

Although it was a 18-3 victory to the Vikings we fought hard all day with the difference being their ability to get hits into the gaps.

Pitching duties were rotated between Elmo, Chridder and Geoff who toiled in the wet to get the ball over the plate.

Only 6 walks in 32 batters was a sterling effort in the wind and rain.

Our batting let us down with only 5 hits for the day, Triples to Chridder and Maxi were the standout.

We continue to improve with fewer errors and holding them to a much lower score than the previous time we played them.

U14s vs Cockburn Cougars was a forfeit by Carine due to lack of players.
