Div 2
Div 2 ladies had a cracking win on Saturday. Down by two runs going into the final innings, Webbie crunched a three-run home run to seal a walk-off win against Sirens. That also earned her the Whitty’s voucher!

Div 4
We returned playing under lights with a Friday fixture. This matched us up to Vikings with ex-carine player Kerry King on the mound.
Vikings struggled to hit the pitching from Kara and managed their 3 runs in the final innings, while we added runs in all innings to come out 13-3 winners.

Div 5 (Thurs)
The Cats took the field for an 8:30 Thursday night matchup against the Balcatta Bears, eventually playing out a five-inning contest that stayed tight right to the end. Offensively, the Cats were steady across the night—bringing in one run in the first, two in the fourth, and another in the fifth. Emma smashed a two-base shot to the outfield, Charlee was electric on the basepaths, and Ciara kept the Bears guessing with a perfectly placed bunt to reach 1st safely in the final inning. Despite the late push, the Cats went into their last turn at bat needing three runs to level things up.
Defensively, the Cats produced some great moments to keep themselves in the fight. The highlight reel included a juggling tag-team catch between Raiana and Charlee at first, a strong outfield grab from Raiana later in the game, and a crucial tag at home after a sharp relay from centre field. Sarah added to the momentum with a clean line-drive catch at pitcher. After holding Balcatta scoreless in the first and the last innings, the Cats had their chance but ultimately left the tying run stranded, falling just short in a 4–6 finish.

Div 5 (Sat)
Backing up from their late Thursday night game, the Cats hit the clay on D2 for an early 11am matchup with the Vikings. With Ciara sidelined after pulling up sore from Thursday's game, Georgia stepped in for her first full seniors game behind the plate. The Vikings came out firing, pushing eight across in the first inning before the Cats settled defensively, holding them to 2, 2, and 3 in the remaining digs. Tennille worked tirelessly at short on the unforgiving clay and pulled in an impressive backwards running catch, while Anna claimed two strong grabs in the outfield and Charlee secured a pair of infield fly balls.

Offensively, the Cats battled against the Vikings’ faster pitcher but still found moments of quality at the plate. They managed one run in the first and three in the second, with Tennille and Lilly each cracking two-base hits to keep runners moving. Unfortunately, the team couldn’t build sustained momentum, and inconsistency getting on base ultimately proved costly. Despite their effort and highlights across the diamond, the Cats weren’t able to close the gap, going down 4–15.

Div 7
Div 7 v Sirens was and game of two halves.
Sirens came to bat in the first and put some pressure on the Carine field, with Renae pitching well they managed to score 6 runs.
Although the Cats batted well they only managed 4 runs and when Sirens put on another 4 runs they were up 10-4 in the middle of the second.
Then the game turned over, the Cats scored 11 runs in the bottom of the second with all batters playing a part and some smart base running.
Denise pitched the final innings and didn’t allow any addition to the score.
The Cats with 8 in the final innings inflated the score although it was a lot closer than the final score indicated.
Renae with the voucher for her inspired pitching and a great return catch.

U16s
U16 took on a much improved Morley team who kept us honest for the entire game. Our girls however enacted their team values they decided on at training, trusted each other and what they’ve learnt to come away with a 9-6 win and moved into second place on the ladder. Highlights were two pick offs by Kelsie, Audrey’s home run, Abbey’s catch at 2nd, Katy’s first safe hit of the season, Georgia’s line drive double to right field and Bridget and Liz not letting anything past them in outfield.
This week’s iPlay voucher went to Scarlett for her leadership on and off the diamond and an at bat that nearly had the scorers run out of room.

U14s Blue
U14 Blue wrap up: u14 Blue played against Sirens in what was a fantastic game. Sirens came away convincingly with the win but we had plenty of good moments with a double play, a couple of other great outs and a two bag hit against a state pitcher clocking pitches at 80km/hr. A highlight this week was the other team verbalising at the end of the game to our team personnel that they thought our team were really lovely and showed great sportsmanship and team work. The kids walked away happy and proud of their efforts.
