A strong Sunday afternoon showing from the Carine Cats, piling on 15 runs and controlling the game from the first inning. Simon Macneall kept the offense humming with a standout 3-from-4 day at the plate.
The defense was strong all day but the highlight was a brilliant 9‑6‑2 double play from Daniel, Mark, and Oliver — Daniel’s read in right, Mark’s clean relay, and Oliver’s finish at the plate shutting down Woodlands’ only real threat.
A composed, connected team performance and a well‑earned 15–1 win to earn the W.

Week 2 saw us play an exceptional game to give Darren a shut out with Rocky Ora not scoring any runs for the day while we managed to score 15. 8 players managed to have safe hits and also score.
The infield was strong with all infielders being involved in a out with Patrick at first having involvement in 7 outs. A highlight of the day was Connor Schmits first ever softball home run with the ball sailing over the cones in right field.

Well done to our Div 9 boys - didnt quite get the bat to ball like last week but a couple of great hits, with lots of loud calling ‘Mine’ in the field and some good catches across the in/out field!!
Geoff was amazing as our solo pitcher - looking forward to the whole team taking a dig each at pitching in the coming weeks 😉
